Due to the lack of schedule changes over the past three weeks, you've rarely seen me around the blog and ToonZone forums, but now that Boomerang's premiere week is approaching, I have returned from the dead! Boomerang has seem to be full of surprises this past week, including 2 original series, 2 acquired series, and 2 first-run acquired series. It kicks off Monday the 5th at 8:00 PM, followed by an encore presentation at 11:00 PM. Wabbit has been receiving positive reviews from the two-week premiere preview on Cartoon Network, so hats off to the newest Looney Tunes installment.
Be Cool, Scooby-Doo! premieres as well at 8:30 PM, and has yet to receive any promotion from Boom. Perhaps, we'll just have to tune in and see. Those two shows we all knew about, but none of us knew about what's coming next. The season 4 premiere of The Garfield Show solely broadcasts this Tuesday instead of Warner Bros.' awful Teen Titans Go! series, which in fact has been put off the air completely on Boom. Good riddance! What's New, Scooby-Doo? also loses it's weeknight spot at 11:00 in favor of encore presentations of all the new stuff. Wednesday brings the season 4 premiere of Shaun the Sheep, which was originally supposed to air on CN instead. Repeats of Sonic Boom and DreamWorks Dragons will air on Thursdays and Fridays respectfully, also replacing TTG! and WNSD?.
Sonic Boom is an 'alright' series to me, but nothing special. I don't understand why DreamWorks Dragons is airing in the first place, but of course, I'm not in charge of scheduling for Turner. Hopefully, Courage the Cowardly Dog will lose an hour for some more variety. I enjoy Courage heavily, but Turner should think about quitting while they're ahead.
Below are the schedule changes in bold, followed by the series they replace. What do you think of these schedule changes? Are you glad Boom is airing 5 new series next week? Share your thoughts for more–I enjoy reading them!
